Looking to build a new-school grandfather clock using old-school construction, hobbyist woodworker Zane Edge designed and built this timepiece in honor of his uncle, a woodworker and clockmaker. The clock stands 82” tall and showcases the impressive weight-driven Hermle movement behind lots of beveled glass. The clock case is constructed of quartersawn sapele with a quilted pommele sapele back panel and pommele accents. The chimes on the hour announce dinner time for the family dog, he’s just never sure which ones.
